The cap design increases the weight of the APS drum by approximately 60 lbs compared to OEM resulting in greater momentum of the drum. Tools are boronized for longer wear compared to standard steel. Boronizing, is a thermo-chemical hardening process used to improve the life and performance of metal components to strengthen resistance to corrosion and abrasive wear. Narrow-body kit contains 51 caps, including hardware.
