The impeller has a staggered paddle design with Chevron centre V-nose, serrated knife, and vane to keep material divided for feeding into the rotors. Staggered paddles improve material flow and eliminate plugging. Tools are boronized for extended wear and the high inertia design requires lower power and saves fuel. Boronizing, is a thermo-chemical hardening process used to improve the life and performance of metal components to strengthen resistance to corrosion and abrasive wear.
